Abstract
The magnetic field dependence of fluorescence from the geminate recombinations of isooctane, neopentane or anthracene cations with perfluorobenzene or perfluorocyclobutane anions are comprared for excitation by vacuum UV light and by beta particles. Differences in the characteristics of this dependence, especially in the vicinity of the level-crossing resonances, are attributed to differences in radial probability densities of initial geminate ion-pair separation distances.
