Elimination of asymptotic couplings in molecular dynamics

Two successful procedures that eliminate asymptotic couplings in close-coupling treatments of atomic dynamics are shown to be generalizable to systems with three or more atoms. The procedures are easily implemented, and employ either common generalized coordinates or common electron translation factors.
