Abstract :
Anisotropy of J-coupling over more than one bond is reported. For the linear 119Sn–O–117Sn fragment in solid (benzyl3Sn)2O, the anisotropy of 2J(119Sn, 117Sn) is determined as 842±350 Hz from 119Sn off-magic-angle-spinning NMR and found to be of similar magnitude as |2Jiso(119Sn, 117Sn)|=950 Hz.
