Abstract :
A data handling procedure is proposed for improving the signal-to-noise ratio in remote nuclear quadrupole resonance spectroscopy, which involves high-speed AD conversion and data averaging in the time domain. It is demonstrated by experimental results that, with the suggested procedure, the SN may be enhanced by a factor of about 5 in remote NQR where the bandwidth of the receiver is fairly broad. In addition to its simplicity, the procedure can be used for real-time digital filtering the FID signal.
