Abstract
Poly(α-methylstyrene) (PMS) with a variety of chain lengths was investigated by both fluorescence measurements and 13C nuclear magnetic relaxation measurements. The molecular weight dependence of excimer formation efficiency agress well with that of the spin-lattice relaxation time, indicating that it is due to the molecular weight dependence of local motion.
