A new method for the determination of the dehydration coefficient of ethylene oxide groups of non-ionic surfactants in mixed micelles

A new method for determining the temperature dehydration coefficient of the ethylene oxide groups of non-ionic surfactant molecules in mixed micelles is proposed. The method is based on using experimental data on micellar structure, aggregation number, size and electrical charge, obtained from scattering experiments and the theory of mixed micelle formation. The range of the dehydration coefficient for ethylene oxide groups of Triton X-100 was determined to be 0.001–0.002 K−1.
