Dimer concentrations in supersonic molecular beams

Dimer concentrations in supersonic nozzle beams are calculated as a function of the source conditions and gas properties from the dimerization kinetics. It turns out that there is only a small influence of the nozzle diameter on the dimer concentration. The results are in excellent agreement with experimental data.
