Abstract
Primary processes of photoinduced electron transfer dynamics in a poly(N-vinylcarbazole) solid film doped with an electron acceptor were directly investigated by means of picosecond transient absorption spectroscopy as well as dichroism measurements. No temperature dependence was observed for the rate constant of the hole shift reaction in the initial stages after photoexcitation in the temperature region between 77 and 295 K, while weak temperature effect was obtained for the charge recombination. On the basis of these results, the mechanisms regulating efficient hole migration in the solid polymer film were discussed.
