Cotton–Mouton effect and optical-frequency molecular polarizability anisotropy of ethylene

New observations of the magneto-optical Cotton–Mouton effect of ethylene over a range of temperature (293.5–437.9 K) are analyzed in conjunction with the Rayleigh depolarization ratio and the mean polarizability to confirm the components of the optical-frequency (λ=632.8 nm) molecular polarizability of this species.
