Raman spectra of low- and high-density amorphous ices

Raman spectra of the OH-stretching, HOH-bending and low-frequency (115∼800 cm−1) regions were measured for both low- and high-density amorphous ices (LDA and HDA, respectively). There are close similarities in spectral features between LDA and crystal ice I. The Raman spectrum of HDA is more similar to that of glassy aqueous LiCl solution than to that of LDA.
