Abstract :
The lifetimes of N2(C3Πu, v′=0) and N2+(B2Σ+u, v′=0) states and rates of their quenching by molecules of N2, O2, H2, CO and H2O have been determined by emission spectroscopy. To excite the states involved a nanosecond pulse repetitive high-voltage discharge was used.
