Abstract :
Gas-phase WO was generated by laser vaporization and its electronic spectra investigated by cavity ringdown laser absorption spectroscopy (CRLAS). The tungsten isotopic structure in the W16O F–X 0–0 transition at 23405 cm−1 is clearly resolved, and its analysis reveals that the strong interstate interactions previously reported in the matrix are also present in the free molecule in the gas phase.
