Comment on measurements of the collisional deactivation rate of the N2 C3Πu state

Measurements at high target pressures of the radiative lifetime and the collisional deactivation of the N2 C state are currently being published. It is shown in the present Comment that such measurements may yield too small deactivation rates in view of reverse transfer effects.
