Abstract
Infrared absorption spectra (400–4000 cm−1) of C60 solvate crystals in benzen, toluene, chlorobenzen, decalin and n-decane have been measured in the temperature range 90–300 K. Chemical reactions of C60 with decalin and n-decane are observed. Interactions between C60 and solvent molecules have an influence on the infrared bands assigned to the CH stretching vibrations. Solvent effects are also observed in the temperature dependence of the C60 infrared bands.
