Abstract :
Infrared absorption spectra (400–4000 cm−1) of C60 solvate crystals in benzen, toluene, chlorobenzen, decalin and n-decane have been measured in the temperature range 90–300 K. Chemical reactions of C60 with decalin and n-decane are observed. Interactions between C60 and solvent molecules have an influence on the infrared bands assigned to the CH stretching vibrations. Solvent effects are also observed in the temperature dependence of the C60 infrared bands.
