Abstract :
Fullerene dimers C120 and C120O undergo oxidation to cation radicals and dissolution in fuming sulfuric acid. Electron paramagnetic resonance study revealed the formation of mono-charged C120+ and C120O+, as well as double-charged C120O2+. EPR spectra and electronic structures of these species are discussed.
