Abstract
An accurate upper bound calculation for the lowest 1Pe and 3Pe states of He is given using extensive Hylleraas-CI calculations. For the (2p)(3p) 1Pe and (2p)2 3Pe states we obtain E = −0.580246472594385 Eh and E = −0.710500155678331 Eh, respectively.
