Abstract :
The semiclassical dynamics of electron correlation is represented in the doubly excited coset space in terms of Hamiltonʹs equations of motion. This provides us a semiclassical interpretation of the complexity of electron correlation through the action-angle variables which depict not only the action (number) of electrons paired but also the associated phase. The behavior of phase is then employed to describe the stability of electron pairing. The Hückel model of propenyl and cyclopropenyl systems is employed for study.
