Abstract :
Photocurrents in molecularly doped polymers are modeled as random walks with activated hopping in a Gaussian manifold of states. Special attention is given to the deepest sites encountered per transit. The field dependent mobility μ is found when M ∼ 1–10 deep sites are rate limiting in transits with over 106 steps. The microscopic picture of multi-step releases based on many returns to deep sites leads to 1n μ ∝ ✓E in the equilibration regime.
