Chemisorption on substrates with long-range interactions

The effect of long-range interactions (LRI) on the HNi chemisorption system is investigated by using the many-neighbour (MN) approximation to represent the LRI and the Anderson-Newns model to describe the chemisorption process. Invoking the Dyson equation, enables the adatom Green function to be obtained in terms of the chemisorption functions, which are employed in the self-consistent determination of the chemisorption energy and charge transfer, whose variations with the MN parameters provides insight into the influence of LRI on the chemisorption process.
