Abstract :
We report femtosecond pump–probe observations of thermal Na + Kr collisions using a crossed atomic beam arrangement. Though the signal level is very small, a detectable signal is observed which shows the characteristic expected features with respect to intensity, product particle velocity, and pump–probe delay.
