A theoretical model for interchain coupled organic ferromagnets

A proposed π-conjugated organic ferromagnet with interchain coupling and nearest-neighbor Coulomb repulsion, which result in the transfer of spin density between the main chain and the side radicals, is studied with the extended SSH Hamiltonian. The interchain coupling stabilizes the high spin ground state while the nearest-neighbor Coulomb repulsion makes it unstable.
