Abstract :
Single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) have been deposited onto uniform molecular films. The Langmuir–Blodgett method was used to manipulate SWCNTs at controlled thickness by means of layer-by-layer deposition. The properties of the SWCNT molecular films were investigated using UV–visible to near infrared absorption spectra and quartz crystal micro-balance (QCM). AFM observations and polarized Raman spectra indicated that the SWCNTs in the films are aligned to some extent in the dipping direction.
