Abstract :
The cubic yttrium-based surfactant mesophases were obtained via a hydrothermal synthesis route by using the anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfonate as template. The NaOH/Y(NO3)3·6H2O molar ratio in initial reaction mixtures and the hydrothermal reaction time were key factors to obtain the stable cubic yttrium-based surfactant mesophases. The yttrium-based cubic mesophsaes with the NaOH/Y(NO3)3·6H2O molar ratio of 0.9 was converted into an odered porous materials with BET surface area of 657.7 m2 g−1 by using the anion exchange of alkyl sulfonate surfactants with acetate ions. The europium yttrium mesophases with Eu/Y molar ratios of 0.01–0.10 were also obtained under the similar reaction conditions through the introduction of europium into the yttrium-based framework.
