Abstract :
In this paper, detailed measurements of magnetic behavior for La2/3Ca1/3Mn1−xCuxO3(0≤x≤0.3) bulk materials for magnetic field up to 10 T are reported. Samples with lower doping (≤10%) are typically ferromagnets, whereas those with higher doping (≥20%) show weak ferromagnetic behavior at low temperatures. For 15% doping, some unusual magnetic behavior is observed, especially in the range of the metamagmetic transition associated with a sharp increase in magnetization near Hc∼2.8 T at low temperatures. A possible interpretation for the experimental observations is presented.
