Abstract :
We report the discovery of a van der Waals type layered carbosulfide superconductor, Nb2S2C, with a transition temperature Tc=7.6 K. Magnetic measurement indicates that Nb2S2C is a bulk type-II superconductor. As demonstrated in Cu2/3Nb2S2C, electron doping into Nb2S2C results in a lowering of Tc.
