Abstract :
Changes in the state and chemical nature of the interphase layer between the fiber and matrix phases are studied using Fourier IR spectroscopy. Modification of this layer can cause a transition from hydrogen-bond-type interactions at the interface to strong chemical bonds. As a result, the influence of the interphase layer on the properties of composites increases substantially.
