RETRACTED: Studies on interactions of thionine with gold nanoparticles

Please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (http://www.elsevier.com/locate/withdrawalpolicy). : The paper appears to be very similar to another paper by the same authors which was published about the same time: “Adsorption Characteristics of Thionine on Gold Nanoparticles”, Langmuir, 22 (2006) 2292–2298. milarity is too great to justify two primary publications. While there are differences in particle size and in some of the techniques used, these differences are not given any significance in either paper: no attempt was made at comparison and neither paper cites the other. The corresponding author, Prof. Ding, kept the co-author Prof. Guo unaware of the manuscriptʹs preparation and submission.
