Abstract :
We investigated the effects of the phosphoglycerides (l-α-dipalmitoyl-phosphatidylcholine (DPPC) and lecithin (egg PC)) and cholesterol contents of liposome on the topographies and the kinetics deposition mechanisms on the polyethylene glycol ocatadecyl ether (Brij-76) derived solid surface by (1) the morphology analysis of atomic force microscopy and (2) the real-time monitoring of quartz crystal microbalance sensor. The DPPC-LUVs depositions were the major vesicular lipid bilayer on the surface, while the deposited egg PC-LUVs formed the planar lipid bilayer. The roles of phosphoglycerides and the cholesterol contents in the mechanism and the conformation of lipid vesicles onto the surface were discussed.
