Thick metallization-layers on polymers through vacuum-technology

This article describes a new development made by CREAVAC. It includes a new evaporating system for metallization of polymers with layers over 10 μm. The Company CREAVAC has developed the technology as well as the tools to produce such layers in an effective way. Providing the means for a stress-free coating process, together with the ability to use different metals simultaneously or one by one without losing the vacuum, energy requirements are significantly reduced. Additionally, the obtained adhesion of the layers is very high. Adaptations to use specific requirements can be implemented.
