Abstract :
Current transient measurements have been used to characterize the electrocrystallisation of Fe–Ni alloys on Pt, from chloride solution at pH 2 and pH 4. The Fe–Ni alloys were deposited from solutions with molar ratios of 1:1, 10:1 and 1:10. The Scharifker and Hills model was used to analyse current transient reveal that nucleation mechanism is instantaneous with a typical three-dimensional (3D) nucleation and growth process for both of the pH values studied at all molar ratios.
