Abstract :
Processing the experimental tie-lines in the miscibility gap of the BaCuY ternary liquid alloys coupled with the Gibbs energies of the BaCu and CuY binaries estimated earlier has led to description of the Gibbs energy of the ternary melt and to the complete ternary phase diagram. The transformation of an open triangular simplex to the plane that can ease optimization and calculation of the ternary phase diagrams significantly is suggested. The literature and present results are discussed.
