RETRACTED: Complex t(2;21;8)(p12;q22;q22): a variant t(8;21) in a patient with acute myeloid leukemia (AML-M2)

One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is that authors declare explicitly that the paper is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Re-use of any data should be appropriately cited. As such this article represents a severe abuse of the scientific publishing system. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and we apologize to readers of Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics that this was not detected during the submission process. The authorsʹ manuscript was submitted to Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics after being accepted for publication in Leukemia and Lymphoma, but prior to actual publication, precluding the editors from detecting the duplication that exists between the two papers.
