Abstract :
The synthesis and transformation of previously unknown 3-aryl-2-phenyl-5-prop-2-ynylsulfanyl-3H-pyrimidin-4-ones 3a–e to novel thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-ones 4a–e are reported.
