Stereoselective synthesis of (3R,4S)-3-methoxy-4-methylaminopyrrolidine

An efficient stereoselective approach for the synthesis of (3R,4S)-3-methoxy-4-methylaminopyrrolidine, a part of the structure of quinoline antibacterial compound (1a) and the naphthyridine antitumour agent (1b) has been described.
