Abstract :
Photoswitchable calix[4]resorcinarenes with different numbers of azo groups in the upper rim were synthesised by the reaction of bromomethylcavitand with 4-aminoazobenzene. UV–vis, 1H and 13C NMR, MALDI TOF-MS spectral data have been used to elucidate the structures of compounds.
