Abstract :
A novel iridium-catalyzed oxidative esterification reaction of aliphatic aldehydes and olefinic alcohols in toluene was found under mild conditions of [IrCl(cod)]2 (5 mol %) in combination with K2CO3 (10 mol %) at rt.
