Abstract :
The first crown ether/monopyridinium threaded structures, which are [2]pseudorotaxanes based on a new bis(m-phenylene)-32-crown-10/monopyridinium recognition motif, were successfully prepared as confirmed by proton NMR spectroscopy, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, and X-ray analysis.
