A biogenetically patterned enantiospecific synthesis of allopupukeanones

The first enantiospecific synthesis of allopupukeanones has been accomplished starting from 6-methylcarvone. A biogenetically patterned rearrangement of a pupukeanane to allopupukeanane was employed as the key step.
