Abstract :
Two synthetic methods are developed for halogenations of meso-hexakis(pentafluorophenyl)-substituted [26]hexaphyrin(1.1.1.1.1.1); one is regioselective trans-vicinal-dichlorination with sulfuryl chloride and the other is acid-assisted hydrohalogenation followed by oxidation with DDQ.
