1-Isocyanomethylbenzotriazole and 2,2,4,4-tetramethylbutylisocyanide smoothly undergo Ugi type reaction toward 1,5-disubstituted aminomethyl tetrazoles and can be subsequently cleaved under acidic conditions yielding substituted α-aminomethyl tetrazoles.
