Abstract :
A single isomer of a monofunctionalised C70 fullerene is isolated and characterised using variable temperature NMR spectroscopy. Pendant methylene bromide groups allow for further cycloaddition reactions and a C60–C70 asymmetric fullerene dimer is thus prepared.
