  • Abstract
    A stereoselective approach for the synthesis of the bio-active decanolactone (−)-microcarpalide was achieved from chiral pool tartaric acid. The synthesis of pivotal intermediates en route to the decanolactone was achieved from α-benzyloxy aldehydes derived from l- and d-tartaric acid.
