Abstract :
A domino Wittig Diels–Alder reaction has been employed in delineating a short and flexible synthetic stratagem for ready access to the AB ring system and the tricyclic framework of furanosesquiterpenes, such as the bioactive natural products, furodysin and furodysinin.
