Abstract :
The catalytic asymmetric hydrogenation of α-arylenamides using catalysts prepared in situ from [Rh(cod)2]BF4 and cyrhetrenyldiphosphines was effective with a range of enamides. The corresponding acetamides were obtained with up to 93% ee.
