Abstract :
A benign and efficient synthesis of naphthodiazacrown ethers has been described. Reaction of simple dialdehyde precursor with α,ω-diamines followed by sodium borohydride reduction leads to 16–27 membered naphthodiazacrown ethers in 80–90% yields.
