Abstract :
A stereo-divergent synthetic strategy based on diastereoselective vinylation of an α-amino aldehyde, ring-closing metathesis reaction and diastereoselective dihydroxylation reaction as key steps has been developed for the synthesis of three aminocyclopentitol derivatives of chemical and biological relevance.
