Abstract :
N-Vinyl 2,2-bisphosphonoaziridines are formed by treatment of 1,1-bisphosphono-2-aza-1,3-dienes with diazomethane. Depending on the substituents at the 4-position of the 1,1-bisphosphono-2-aza-1,3-dienes, exclusively 1-(ethenylamino)-2-phosphonoethenylphosphonates or mixtures of 1-(ethenylamino)-2-phosphonoethenylphosphonates and 2-imino-2-phosphonoethylphosphonates are obtained as side products.
