Abstract :
A convenient method of synthesizing 2-amino-1,2-dihydroisoquinoline-3(4H)-one and its amide derivatives (4 or 5) is described through sydnone intermediate (3) derived from TIC (1) (tetrahydroisoquinoline-3-carboxylic acid) under acidic conditions in good yield.
