Abstract :
Cyclisation of terpenylnaphthohydroquinone derivatives or terpenylquinone cycloadducts, obtained from methyl myrcecommunate, was performed in the presence of HI, I2 or BF3·OEt2 and provides efficient synthetic strategies for the preparation of pentacyclic terpenylquinones.
