Abstract :
New meso-macrocyclic α-amino esters were synthesized through the chemoselective hydrolysis of azacyclophanes derived from l-tyrosine (benzoxazinephanes). The results showed that the alkyl chain of the ester determined the chemoselectivity of the reaction.
